Color blocking is a very popular trend right now and it will remain a trend throughout the fall. I wanted to do this as a manicure on my amazing friend Emmy! Remember her?! Emmy's nails looked so gorgeous once the manicure was finished! I adore it! Since it's still summer, I used bright, bold, summery colors!
This Fall's colors are more neutral and a little darker. To color block, you need to know your contrasting colors and what colors compliment each other. To make a color blocking outfit is simple, one possible way is to have a a plain shirt and bottoms. Than for you accessories, pick one color and then apply! The accessories will bring the outfit together! Mix and match the colors you choose! Don't be afraid, go wild! Color blocking is mainly mix and matching. Where a rich blue top and red pants! Maybe even add a red belt to your top! Do you understand the concept of color blocking?
For this color blocking manicure, I used a green, China Glaze: I'm with the Lifeguard, a hot pink, O.P.I.: Cha-Ching Cherry, and an orange, Wet and Wild: Sunny-Side Up. The nail art I used is a sparkly blue from L.A. Colors.
First, use your base coat. Then, take the color you want to be at the top of the nail (the top is the cuticle in this case) and apply. Personally, I think the more nail polish you apply, the easier it is for it to chip of peel. If your color is rich, only apply one coat, if your color isn't very strong apply two coats. I had to do this for the green.
Now choose your second color, which will be in the center. My color is the hot pink. you are going to place your brush 3 quarters of the way up. the summit of the pink should be facing outwards, in other words, make the highest point face the pinky. Then make a slanted line downwards until you reach the other side in the center. The line doesn't have to be completely clean. Mine came out a lot better than I thought they would. If you let your lines get to sloppy, the nail art won't work. Paint the rest of the nail leaving some green at the top. All your nails should look like this:
Take your third color. Place the brush at the lower end of your second color. Make a downwards slant again, but this slant will end at the tip of the nail, either at the corner or near it.
Remember, your line does not have to be perfect! Your don't want to see your first color at the bottom the nail. If you still see your first color, cover it u with your third color. After you finish these steps, your nails will look like this:
Pretty! Finally the nail art! My nail art is blue because it pops on the other colors. You want to put the nail art where each of the colors meet. The nail art must be straight, otherwise your nails will look sloppy. each of your nails should look similar to this one nail:
Remember to add your top coat to make your nails look glamorous! The best time to add top coat is when your nails are nearly dry. This is to prevent your amazingly hard work from smudging! Use nail polish remover to clean up any messes you made on your fingers. All your nails should look like this in the end:
This is color blocking! Isn't it fabulous? These colors are perfect for summer, but Fall is not bright and neony! Use rich colors for fall!
Tomorrow is the first day of August! We are more than half way through the summer! It's getting near the school year :( I would like to share some really fashionable tips on how to make your binders, notebooks and other school supplies look awesome! I know I'm gonna enjoy the rest of my summer to the fullest! Until the next time,

Twist Friendship Bracelet!
Many girls enjoy using string to make friendship bracelets. There is this one stitch that I've known for two years and thought it would be good to share because it's so simple and takes the most 3 minutes, even on the first try!
First, take at least two pieces of friendship bracelet string. The more you use, the thicker the bracelet will be.
I used blue and purple for this one. Cut the string about 2 feet long, maybe even shorter, but not by much because the size of the bracelet decreases as the steps proceed.
Now take one side and tape it down to a flat surface. Do NOT tie a knot at the ends!
Once the string is taped, twist it in one direction and keep going until the twist is pretty tight like shown below:
After the twist has been complete, un-tape the string and hold on to both ends. Bring the ends together. Now you most likely have a mess like I have here:
That's totally normal for doing this on your own. Take your hand that isn't holding the bracelet and slide it down the middle. There is a pretty twist!
Tie a knot at the end where the twist can come undone.
Tie it around your wrist and the bracelet is now complete! Hooray!
If you do not have tape that's ok! All you need is another person! If you don't have anther person or tape, have fun trying to do this on your own! ;) Both of you twist either to the right or left (you must go in the same direction) and you will still get the same effect! Have someone put their finger in the middle of the bracelet, but still holding their own end. Next, bring the ends together. The bracelet should come out perfectly, but that doesn't happen every time for some reason. If you end up with a mess, follow these steps. One of you will take a finger and put run it down the bracelet. Then, you have a twisty bracelet!
These are so cool and really pretty! Try with more than two colors! It looks just as cool! Until next time,
Be bold, bright, and gorgeous!

Just an alert!
I just wanted to say that I will be writing at least twice a week. It is easier for my schedule. I just don't want anyone to think I have left my blog! Never! =D
Here is a quick fashion thing for you to get and do! In one of my next posts I will be giving a tutorial on how to do Bling String! Start buying it cuz everyone loves sparkly hair! ;) And for a nice summer cool down tip, take a lip balm, put it in the freezer over night and when you need it, apply it! It feels sooooo good but the sad part is that the frozeness doesn't last long, in fact, about a couple of minutes. But if you are boiling and the lip balm in the freezer, feel the relief! That was all!
Until I make my next fashionable post,
Be bold, bright, and gorgeous!

Surfer Dude Nails!
Finally, I had time to do a new manicure! Yes! This one is so cute and pretty easy, just time consuming. Well, let's begin.
The colors I used are a sparkly blue, orange, white, green, tan, red and black. A toothpick is also required! Nail art won't cut it! I needed the colors from the nail art!
First, put a base coat. Then, paint the entire nail white. This will make the design look brighter.
Now use the orange and paint your nail leaving some room at the tip. The blue will the going there. Put two coats of orange on. It doesn't have to be perfect. Now you have your sky.
Use your blue and paint the white area. Do two coats. Use your toothpick and dip it into the bottle of blue and make points so the water has waves. Do this to all the nails except your ring finger.
For your ring finger, make a hook like figure but make sure there is a ton of room left for your little surfer dude to go. This is the wave. Make the wave face inward.
Make an oval at the bottom of the orange and slightly on the water. Don't get super close to the wave. I used green for the oval and than outlined it with a darker green so it's is visible. Add a pink stripe, extremely thin, down the middle of the oval. You have made the board.
Now it's time to make the surfer dude. Using white first is probably your best option. Create the legs of a stick figure that are connected to the board, slightly slanted away from the wave. Use red for the bathing suit. Keep it slightly slanted also. The suit should look like shorts. Finally make the upper part of the body like the rest of the stick figure still slightly slanted. The arms should be more slanted than the rest of the body so it looks like he's balancing.
Isn't he sooooo cute?! Clean up any mess you made around the cuticle and now you have a gorgeous/ adorable surfer scene! :)
That's all for today! Until next time,
Be bold, bright, and gorgeous!

Simple Summer Hair Styles
Most girls go for an easy ponytail for their summer style on a day to day basis. I have several styles for you to easily do! Two are for keeping cool and the other two are for a fancier look! These hair styles are fast and easy for a lovely style of hair! The wonderful assistant that I will be working with is a girl named Emmy. Her hair is on the longer side which made it easier to do the styles but anything about shoulder length and longer is good.
The first style is called The Flip. Doing The Flip is really easy.
First, start with a ponytail, either low or mid-way.
Now, put your finger on your scalp. Then pierce a hole through the hair so the rest of the ponytail is able to fit through.
While keeping the fingers that are in the hair in place, use the other hand to take the ponytail and put it through the hole. Take the fingers that are holding the hair in place away so the ponytail can get through. Pull it all the way through and there will be a sloppy twist.
Finally, tighten the ponytail and viola! You have a stylish ponytail in only a matter of seconds!
To fancy up the pony, put a decorative hair-tie!
The next hair style is one commonly known, but is a great summer style! It is a side braid. I know many people know how to braid but, I'll explain it anyway.
First, pull all the hair to one desired side and divide into three sections.
Take the back-most section and put it over the center one.
When putting the front-most section over the other two, continue to hold the smallest section so there is not a giant bump or so it doesn't fall apart.
Continue to take the end pieces and put them in the middle over and over again until you reach the end of the braid. Then secure with a hair-tie. Now you have a pretty braid to spend the day with!
If there are any questions on braiding please email me and I will tell you how to do it! Now for the fancier styles! This style is extremely pretty but not many girls know how to do it. Here is your tutorial on how to a... Waterfall Braid!
It's simpler than it looks!
First grab the front section of your hair and pull it back.
Now take a small section next to it, bring it over the first section, and leave it alone.
Then, take a small section from underneath it and bring it over the piece that should be left alone. Now the braid should look like this:
Repeat these steps until you feel the braid is long enough. After you mad your last "waterfall" Take a small piece from underneath it, like before, to secure it.
Add a clip and you're done!
The final hairstyle I have to share is really cool but I don't know what it's name should be! I'll just cal it a Swirly Braid for right now!
First, take a small section of your hair and braid it. Don't do it too tight!
Hold the center part of the braid and take the other two. Hold them together and push the braid up while still holding the middle piece in place. Once the braid is all scrunched up, it will look like this:
Pull the braid down a bit and you will have this:
Clip it in place and you have a unique braid! Yay!
Here is a tip for knotty hair: there is this product called Infusium. It makes hair smooth, helps de-tangle it, and helps prevent split ends! Plus, it smells real good! Look out for this awesome product! It works on wet or dry hair! Absolutely fabulous!
That's all for today! Until next time,
Be bold, bright, and gorgeous!

What's the Summer Style?
First things first. In yesterday's post I forgot to give out credit to the person who helped me spark my idea! Her name is Maya R. Thank you for emailing me an idea and I'm proud to say that you are my first emailer! Yay you!
The other day I took a trip to the mall to take a look at the summer fashion and a sneak peak of the fall fashion. Shame on me, I didn't take a picture of the mustache collection at Claire's! How could I?! I did get some pictures of eye-popping neon accessories from XSRE! Neon is totally in right now and is gorgeous summer look! I didn't buy any yet but, I'm gonna get something soon! In a previous post, I said skinny belts are in style. Now, you should wear them in neon! Or even a neon top would work! Take a look at the amazing neon selection at XSRE! You like?
Love this display! Absolutely stunning! Honestly, I would've taken a picture of the mustache display buuuuuut, I kinda forgot. :/ And now, here is a look at one of the many fall fashions from the one and only, Wet Seal!
Look at those fabulous red jeggings! I have hot pink ones from here and they are glamorous! Neon ones are totally exquisite as well! The belt is just a cute add on that I thought was nice but, I usually don't wear a belts. That's just my opinion though... The denim jacket with the cami underneath is fabulous! The necklace in the shape of a bow is adorable too! The shoes in the picture got cut off but they are really cute sandles! This store is really cool!
When I was at the mall I also stopped by Bath and Body Works! I adore that store! They just but out a new collection called Love Love Love. I truly love love love this scent and bought the mini lotion! I recommend going there and check it out. Better going sooner then later because we all know they are always putting out new scents and losing the old ones!
I've been wanting to try and dress up like a nerd and maybe show up to school that way when it starts! Does anyone else have this desire? Or is it just me? There are suspenders at Claire's and now they're selling mustache ones! OMG! Talk about intensity! That's all for today! until the next time,
Be bold, bright, and gorgeous!

Summer Accesories
Usually, people won't wear snowflake earrings during the summer. Flowers and flip-flops are the way to go! Flowers are one of my favorite things to wear in my hair and in necklaces! And I have a colorful flip-flop bracelet that fits right into the summer mood.
There are many different types of styles for flowers. I love the big ones but, I don't enjoy wearing them during the summer. It's too hot and the big ones carry some weight; although, they do look gorgeous! The smaller flowers work the best in the summer and I like the ones that are flat the best. I have a collection of flowers to go with almost all my outfits! I use the clip on ones, not the headbands, but both styles are very pretty. I love wearing flowers on my necklaces too. plus I have one pair of earrings! Good places to shop for flowers are accessory stores such as Claire's, Icing, XSRE, etc. Flowers are very trendy, will you continue the trend?
Personally, I've never seen someone wearing a flip-flop in their hair but, I have seen necklaces, earrings, and bracelets. Sadly, I only have one bracelet, but I'm willing to buy more! This is a great summer style and you can find this trend at many accessory stores. Another fabulous style is anklets in summer colors! I have sea shell one and one with beads! I do have others, but they aren't very stylish.
My favorite store is Claire's therefore, you should take a trip there! Check all the websites to the stores listed above to see what styles you would enjoy wearing. If you have your own special style, share it with me at

Flip! Flop!
One of the best parts about summer is the flip-flops! I love them! I wear them to the beach, to a pool and many other places too! I have several pairs of them, and they are in multiple colors so there is one for almost all my outfits. My favorite style of flip-flops are the wedges. They look soooo pretty! Usually I wear those to the mall of a store or whatever, not the beach. The other day, saw someone using duck-tape on their pair! It looked cool but that's not my style. Another idea I accumulated was tying ribbons around that part that you slide you toes under. It looked cute! Personally, I like to keep mine the way the are! Flip-flops are a huge part of summer but, they are not the best for everywhere. These little shoes should not be treated as sneakers because they don't give you enough support! :( Anyway... here is my amazing collection of flip-flops! Sorry the pic. isn't so great...
Another style I love to do i take a solid color spaghetti strap or cami and place a skinny belt over it! I bet you are wondering how this relates to flip-flops. To make the outfit truly bold and colorful, use a pair of flip-flops that match the belt! It compliments totally gorgeous! I only have two belts so I can't use belts for everything. Use a belt to make a pop of color in your outfits!
I was flipping through my latest InStyle magazine and saw that skinny belts are in style! OMG! This is my favorite cami/belt combo!
Well that was all for today! I'm still looking for inspiration! Here is my email: fashionprincessglitter@gmail.com
Until the next time,

Best Lip Gloss
I absolutely love lip gloss! The colors it gives out and its brilliant shine, just amazing! I have a decent sized collection. 16 to be exact... ;) Over time I began to receive and buy them and the number of lip glosses increased. Some of them are just terrible or I just prefer not to use them, I have a large majority of pinks though...
As anyone else, I have a couple of favorites, but my favorites are not just because of the colors, but of the way it applies and the quality of the gloss! Some of my lip glosses have the same brand but that's ok, it has to be gorgeous lip gloss to have more than one of the same! Here are my absolute favorite ones, and I will tell you why!
My 100% favorite, Burt's Bees! The color that I like is the only one I've tried but, I fell in love with it instantly! It's called Strawberry and it's in the "lip shimmer" section. All lip shimmers have a sparkle and a peppermint flavoring plus a long lasting color that looks gorgeous! Most of these only cost $5 and are sold in places such as CVS and other similar stores.
The two lip glosses behind the Burt's Bees are Jordana lip glosses. These are a part of the "Gloss Sensations" collection. My second favorite lip gloss type! The light pink color is called Pink Amaze and the coral color is called Candy Burst. They are a little sticky but, you need to apply it evenly. Its color is is very pretty and has a lot of sparkle to it. You can find this at many $ Stores
The two behind those are from an amazing store, Bath and Body Works! The red one, called Black Cherry, is from the "Liplicious" collection. I was given this gloss a long time ago so I'm not sure if it is still selling, but Liplicious is still available. It has sparkles and gives my lips a red look which I find great because I don't wear red lip stick! The other one is called Rose Shimmer from the "Mentha Lip Tint" collection and it is fantastic. It makes my lips shine and gives it a sparkly light pink color! This color isn't sold anymore but, there are similar ones plus the brand is great! I used to have a coconut Liplicious one but I lost it :(
And finally, the back two! These are by "Mary Kay" and I love them! The gold one is called Gold Rush and it does come out gold! The other one is called Fancy Nancy. It is a magenta-like color with gold sparkles! Thee color lasts a while and it's not super sticky! These are gorgeous, but they are about $12
That's all for today! If you have any amazing lip glosses you would like to share, please email me! Until the next time,
Be bold, bright, and gorgeous!
